Kay provides support to Navy Fleet Readiness Center (FRC), Support Equipment, which is a Naval Air Systems Command, whose mission is to provide aviation support equipment (SE) maintenance, repair and overhaul services to meet Naval Aviation Enterprise entitlements and the Navy's Fleet Response Plan.
The Kay team provides seamless integrated SE maintenance repair and overhaul services with a goal of reducing repair cycle time while improving the availability of ready for use (RFI) SE in the fleet and its supporting infrastructure. The FRC support team is tasked with providing SE support for deployed and garrison fleet forces on the different categories of SE identified in NAVAIRINST 13650.1 (SERIES), Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List Program.
